Repacking donated potatoes

On May 7th Foodlink hosted volunteers from Kodak, Xerox, PAETEC, The Berry Company, The Strong National Museum of Play, ARC of Monroe, Sisters Together Achieving Results and Duke Energy as part of the annual United Way Day of Caring. Over 120 volunteers donated their time and efforts to help sort food, improve our facilities, and better enable us to address the hunger and its root causes.

Some of their accomplishments included:
Sorting donated food
Bagging potatoes
Construction projects, electrical work, plumbing, and painting at Freshwise Farms
… just to name a few.

We thank you for your dedication to the improvement of your community, and great services rendered to Foodlink. We could not be successful in the hunger relief effort without your help!
